Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about industrial and marine refrigeration, HVAC, engineering, service and working with Chilly.

Global Warming Potential

FAQ's regarding Global Warming Potential (GWP) and refrigerants' impact on same.

What is Global Warming Potential (GWP) in refrigeration?
Global Warming Potential (GWP) measures how much heat a greenhouse gas traps in the atmosphere compared with CO₂, typically over 100 years. Refrigerants with lower GWP generally have a lower direct climate impact if released into the atmosphere. However, a refrigeration system’s total environmental impact also depends on energy consumption, leakage prevention and proper refrigerant recovery.

HVAC

FAQ's regarding Heating, Ventilation and AirConditioning - HVAC

What is the difference between HVAC and industrial refrigeration?

HVAC stands for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. HVAC systems primarily control indoor temperature, humidity, ventilation and air quality.

Industrial refrigeration focuses on cooling products, processes and storage facilities, often at lower temperatures and with higher cooling capacities.

Chilly ApS supports both industrial refrigeration and HVAC applications through independent engineering, technical service, system upgrades and spare-parts support.
